Why Choose Dental Implants
Dr. Grapevine is often asked by patients if replacing a tooth is really necessary, especially when it's in the back of the mouth. The answer is yes.
Replacing a missing tooth right away is the simplest and most affordable option. There are multiple options, but a dental implant offers the most permanent and natural tooth-like restoration.
About the Dental Implant Procedure
The process for placing a single tooth implant is quite simple. Dr. Grapevine will design a personalized treatment plan for you and work with a local oral surgeon for the placement of the dental implant
The oral surgeon will place a small, titinuim screw-like device in the jaw bone. Dental implants are so successful because of osseointegration, the process where the implant actually integrates with the living bone, providing a solid support mechanism for the replacement tooth. During this process, you will have a temporary crown to relace aesthetics and chewing function.
After three to six months, you will return to our Plano TX dental office for Dr. Grapevine to complete the procedure. The implant will be uncovered and attached to an abutment. Dr. Grapevine will complete the implant restoration with a highly natural looking porcelain dental crown.

How much does a single tooth implant cost?
The cost of a single tooth implant depends on several factors. Perhaps the greatest of which is the health and condition of the bone, gums and surrounding teeth. The location of the missing tooth may also impact the cost of the procedure.
Dr. Grapevine offers several types of dental implants and materials for the dental crown which can also influence the cost of treatment. If you have a missing tooth, please contact our Plano TX dentist office for a consultation with Dr. Grapevine. We will examine your mouth and present you with several options for replacing the missing tooth. We will also review the cost of dental implant treatment as well as any financing or insurance options that may be available to you.
How long does a dental implant last?
Dental implants are extremely durable and long lasting. Dr. Grapevine plans his dental implants to last patients for a life time. Maintaining good oral health and regular visits to the dentist can help to increase the longevity of your dental implant.
How long will I be without a tooth?
We make every attempt to limit the amount of time you are without a tooth. In most cases, patients will receive an immediate temporary crown on their dental implant to restore aesthetics and function while the implant heals. The temporary crown is not as strong as a natural tooth or the final implant crown, so special care and diet may be required. Dr. Grapevine will review all considerations with you prior to the start of your treatment.
