Dr. Jacob Grapevine, D.D.S.
A native of Canton, TX, Dr. Grapevine attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate degree then went on to pursue dentistry at the University Health Science Center in San Antonio. After graduation, Dr. Grapevine completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Baylor college of Dentistry in Dallas where he received advanced training in implants, veneers, crowns, dentures, esthetic fillings, oral health education, and other dental needs.
Providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages is something that Dr. Grapevine is very passionate about. Communication is a key part of Dr. Grapevine’s treatment philosophy. Dr. Grapevine aims to develop a bond of trust with patients, not just a treatment plan. He spends time listening to patients’ needs and desires while creating a plan to accomplish their goals.
Dental Organizations & Continuing Education
Dr. Grapevine is the only General Dentist on staff at the Medical Center Hospital of Plano where he serves the needs of the hospital patients. Continuing education is such a strong value to Dr. Grapevine. He helps hygiene students understand the many aspects of oral health and how to educate patients on preventive care. In order to recognize early signs and symptoms of dental disease, Dr. Grapevine has sought the proven teachings from the Dawson Academy. With over 50 years of research to dentistry, the Dawson Academy is highly respected in the dental community for its conservative treatment from simple dental issues to complex cases such as multiple implants. Dr. Grapevine has completed the Dawson curriculum and received the Dawson Academy Complete Dentistry Award.
Dr. Grapevine is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Dallas County Dental Society, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an Invisalign Preferred Provider and Seattle Study Club. The Seattle Study Club is a unique membership consisting of local dentists and dental specialists with the purpose of improving dentistry for their patients. Using cutting edge techniques and a team approach philosophy is the cornerstone of the Study Club. Members improve their knowledge and skills together to provide the best dentistry possible for their patients. Topics are focused on are improvements in the areas of orthodontics, esthetics, implant cases and complex jaw joint issues.

Dr. Grapevine married his wife, Amber, while attending dental school in San Antonio. He is excited to announce they will be celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. Traveling is something they enjoy and have spent time in New York, California and Italy.
At home they spend time with their two Siberian Huskies, Toby and Klondike. Klondike is a rescue dog and plays all day with Toby. Dr. Grapevine's wife, Amber, is a dietitian and they value health and fitness. They enjoy challenging themselves and Dr. Grapevine even enjoys an occasional fitness competition. With their medical background they lead a medical team at Elevate Life Church where they provide health and wellness education to the community.
